Does everyone need enzymes?
Our bodies normally make digestive enzymes to help break down the foods we eat. However, some individuals, due to disease, age, or stress, cannot manufacture adequate levels of digestive enzymes. As a result, these people cannot fully break down their foods sufficiently to provide nutrients in a form which can be absorbed. Humans eating an enzyme poor diet, comprised primarily of cooked and processed food, use up a tremendous amount of enzymes in the outpouring of secretions from the pancreas and other digestive organs. Once used, enzymes must be replaced.
What are SBOs?
Soil Based Organisms (SBOs) are naturally occurring intestinal microorganisms that help to maintain ‘homeostasis’ or balance in the digestive tract.* SBOs are present when food is grown in nutrient-rich soil, as with organic farming, or when probiotic supplements are consumed containing SBOs. We introduce these friendly microorganisms within our formulas to sustain abundant health.
